Cyffylliog
Community Council
The council catchment area consists of a rural area which includes the villages
of Cyffylliog and Bontuchel.
It is skirted by Ruthin Town Council and the communities of Efenechtyd, Clocaenog,
Llanfihangel GM, Nantglyn, Llanrhaeadr-yng-nghinmeirch and Llanynys.
We are an elected body of 8 councillors from all walks of life who work tirelessly and
voluntarily for the good and betterment of the people we represent.
We meet six times a year in the vestry of Cyffylliog Chapel.
We have an elected chairman and vice chairman and a clerk who deals with all our
correspondence.
Our local county councillor is also present at our meetings. We discuss many things
from roads, footpaths, buildings, to giving views and comments on planning
applications before they are sent before the county council.
Occasionally, we are visited by our local Community Policeman or our local M.P.
Every spring we set a precept. Members of the public are welcome to come and attend our meetings.
